Sri Lanka PL-2

  • Sri Lanka Air Force PL-2 program started in 1977
  • First maiden test flight on April 11, 1980
  • Pazmany PL-2 aircraft was built by the Aircraft Engineering Wing of the Sri Lanka Air Force, under the personal supervision of Wing Commander N. Gunarathnam
  • This was the first instance in the history that an aircraft has been completely built in Sri Lanka
